BPD's Ed Davis: "We have determined that there has been a third incident," referring to the one at the JFK Library.
BPD Commissioner ed Davis: At 2:50 today, simultaneous explosions resulted in multiple casualties. We immediately activated a system of response developed by the city, state, and federal governments. There has been a 3rd incident that occurred at the JFK Library -- we are not certain that these events are related.
Two other explosive devices were found at the scene, according to Boston Police, and are being dismantled now.

The third incident occurred about a half hour ago, according to Commissioner Davis.
Gov. Patrick: "We are asking that people stay out of crowds and calmly make their way home or to a hotel."
BPD Commissioner Ed Davis: Two of the explosions occurred on Boylston Street and a third at the JFK Library about a half hour ago. "People should be calm, but should understand this is an ongoing event and we need all the information we can get." He asked anyone with information to call 800-494-TIPS.
No known injuries from the JFK incident.
